We're fundraising and development professionals who organize donors and mobilize resources to build people power—typically with organizations that center community organizing in their theory of change.
If you're here, you likely believe that “organized people coupled with organized money create power in a democracy.” You follow community-centric fundraising principles, understand that big philanthropy is a tool of racial capitalism, and are committed to independent revenue generation as a way to reclaim economic power. You may work at a national, state, or local movement-building or movement-support organization, such as a policy research and advocacy organization, an intermediary funder, or a fundraising consulting firm. You may work on a single issue or multiple issues. We are all movement fundraisers working to build a world where everyone thrives.
Together, we are the Radical Fundraisers Network.
"If we want to move toward a world where everyone's needs are met, the organized left—the portion of the left that sees building organizations and institutions as necessary to changing people's lives at scale—will need to get serious about the role of money in our movement. Money has the potential to help us align on and execute a disciplined strategy to win."
